Alan Barrett Images | The Bigger Picture | Cuevas de Marmol

These marble caves are found on a small section of the Chilean shoreline of Lago General Carrera - the lake actually straddles the Chile/Argentina border and in Argentina it is known as Lago Buenos Aires. The caves were formed by the action of waves and wind – today they offer lovely compositions which constantly change in mood as the weather conditions alter. Sadly we could only spend one day at this location so did not experience the variety of images that would have been apparent from a longer familiarity.
